The Absent Parent Program

The Absent Parent Program provides job training and development services to parents that are not legal guardians. This program tries to increase the amount of money that could be earned by unemployed or underemployed non-legal guardian parents who do not meet their child support responsibility. Parents may join the program by choice, usually through the local Child Support Enforcement Office, or be ordered through the courts from contempt and parenthood hearings. Programs are located in Hartford and Prince George's counties.

Eligibility: Harford and Prince George’s County Residents, Non-custodial Parent
